Nasa has said something on their official website (www.science.nasa.gov). I’ve been looking it up just on google, and I haven’t found much, but I did find one thing of interest about sunspots and magnetic polarity in relation to the Mayan calendars and myths. If you want, look at http://www.greatdreams.com/2012.htm (it was the first thing that popped up when I looked up “12/21/12 Mayans”) and read about Nasa’s discoveries by following the link to their full story.

I dunno what to believe, but it sure is interesting. However, I am slightly more inclined to believe this then I was for the whole 2000 A.D. “end of the world” prophecy thing, at least, it is enough to make me somewhat uneasy. The Mayas believed that the world had been created 5 times and destroyed 4 times. Perhaps this will the fifth time of destruction?
