LANGUAGEISM OR REGIONALISM in mumbai by Raj Thackre
yesterday i was reading a news paper article on Raj Thakre comment on Amitabh bachhan.the news was like this
“MUMBAI: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Raj Thackeray has attacked Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan for taking “more interest” in Uttar Pradesh than Maharashtra.
Thackeray said that though Bachchan has become a superstar in Mumbai but his heart is more inclined towards Uttar Pradesh than Maharashtra.
“Though he has become a star in Mumbai, his interest is in Uttar Pradesh. That is why he was trying to be an ambassador of UP rather than Maharashtra,” Thackeray said at a function in Dharavi on Friday night.
He said that Bachchan was behaving as if he was an ambassador of UP rather than Maharashtra and said his loyalty was more towards UP than Maharashtra.
“That is why though he achieved everything in Mumbai, when it came to elections, Amitabh chose UP,” he added.
Earlier, Thackeray received flak from political parties, for opposing Chhath Puja, for hurting the religious sentiments of people from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
He had recently objected to celebration of Uttar Bharatiya Diwas and Chhath Puja in Maharashtra.”
I will like to ask Mr.Raj Thakre why he is creating a marathi/non marathi Regionalsim in the state.similar to violence in assam last year if you are a non assamese speaking or hindi speaking living in Assam. last year on january 6th 2007. Breaking a long lull, insurgent Militant outfit carried out a series of major attacks targeting migrants, gunning down 26 people, mostly milkmen from Bihar, on Saturday in Assam’s.In 2000, militants killed at least 100 people in Assam in a series of well-planned attacks after vowing to free the state of all “non-Assamese speaking migrant workers”.Most victims then and now were from Bihar who had made Assam their home and worked in brick kilns or as labourers for meagre wages. later on the same month of January 31st 2007 At least five Hindi-speaking persons were injured and three houses torched as the militant continued to target migrant workers in Assam. why north indians always be a victim of communalsim?
I think Thackeray’s are good for nothing in the name of leadership. Instead of focusing their energy on problems in Maharashtra, they tend to crave for 15 minutes of media fame. If they really want to do something for their so called “Aamchi Mumbai”, how about using their so called “shiv sena” activist in stopping rapes and molestation that happen every day. why not Navnirman sena ,Shiv sena,Bajrang Dal,VHP all these big party must create a good solutions for mumbai and mumbaikers. what they have no work to do and crib what others do or not to do.who are they to define an individual indian responsibility and respect.I think he is using the same formula as used earlier when he was in Shiv Sena! This shows that how cheap a man can get to grab attention. These kinds of politicians divide the whole country. Does North Indians disrespect Maharashtra or Mahrashtrains? Absolutely not. They love the state they live in. But leaving the birth place does not mean that they should start hating it. I just want to request that please do not listen to such nonsense and love all your brothers and sisters! He says he has not done any sins. Can anyone tell me that dividing a country in the name of communalsim is not a sin?.Raj Thackeray’s comment against Amitabh has made every Maharashtrian proud. Does it mean that every Maharashtrian feels he is a Marathi first and not part of Indian Nation.Raj is doing these stunts to gain Marathi votes. He isn’t concerned about Marathi, or is against north Indians. if he is concern about marathi then 1st he should create a solid solution,jobs and security for women in his own state.if he is against north indians he is creating anather Assam in Mahrashtra. He’s doing all these for marashtrain votes. But sadly, it won’t work. Maharashtra has always been open and fertile ground for migration from whole India. Apart from other business factors, one of the major factors is its adaptable and tolerant population. This has helped it grow into a powerful state that it is now. So I think the Marathi population isn’t ready for this crap from Raj. Overloading of Mumbai/Pune or any other cities by population migrated from all parts of India or Maharashtra is a matter of concern, but the solution isn’t this. Illegal slums and properties in these cities are the major cause. If people (any Indian) can come to these places and live by using Legal/illegal methods, then this will create a big mess. Also the growth needs to be distributed to other places of India. Maharashtra should promote and help other states to set up industries and grow. If the wealth is distributed and law and order is maintained these things can be brought under control. I find this stand taken by Raj Thackeray absolutely ridiculous. Why would anyone (not just Maharashtra) want Amitabh to be a brand ambassador? Have they forgotten that he tried to acquire agricultural land near Pune after claiming to be a farmer from UP? His shenanigans ended only when the Mayawati govt came to power in UP. And, how about the Z-class VIP security he was being provided by the state govt of Maharashtra that he was not paying for? Let us also not forget how he got compensated for his role in Eklavya (with a Re 1 paycheck and a gifted Bentley) simply to evade taxes. So, Amitabh might be great movie star but 1st he is an Indian but that’s about it. His credentials as an iconic Indian ring hollow beyond the projections on a movie screen. If Amitabh is brand ambassador for UP, I’m sincerely happy for both. As for India,Up, Maharashtra, there are better icons to look forward to, and I don’t even need to name them. And if navnirman sena people if you really care about Maharashtrians, do something constructive don’t create a nu sense in the name of caste/creed/Regionalism
ONE SIMPLE QUESTION TO MR.RAJ THAKRE.
FOR MARATHI,MUMBAI,MAHRASHTRA, AND FOR FORMERS (COMMITTING SUICIDE IN HIS OWN STATE) WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR THEM TILL DATE AS A MAHRASHTRAIN, AS A MUMBAIKAR, AS A INDIAN, AS A HUMAN BEING, AS A POLITICIAN AND AS A NAVNIRMAN SENA CHIEF?

This divisive politics will get us nowhere and will create anather Assam and Naxalites entry in the state of mahrashtra.Each part of India is for every Indian, so every Indian has equal rights on Maharashtra. Its Nothing but a Dirty Politics by Nav Nirman sena,Shiv sena,Bajrang Dal,VHP. Why isn’t Mr Laloo telling his statesmen to come back home and work for their own state. Same holds good for Ms Mayawati. Do they feel ashamed of their state being left in poor condition? Agreed they are poor and want to earn their bread in other states. All the people commenting on Amitabh issue, please also consider the “Root Cause”. the pain when our farmers commit suicides and the people from other states take the jobs in our home land. at that time where is this so called Navnirman Sena,Shiv Sena,Bajrang Dal,Vishwa Hindu Parishad what they are doing at that time when farmers commit suicide. Why is the Supreme Court not making any comments on the migration. Why is the system in these states not being questioned? . Mr. Abu Azmi not worried about the poor farmers committing suicide for no jobs and loans as low as Rs 3,000 and Rs 4,000? Doesn’t anyone think about the people of Maharashtra being affected because of incompetent leaders of India like Mr.Raj thakrey,Mr lalu prasad Yadav,Mrs. Sonia gandhi,Ms mayawati,Mrs Pratibha Patil, Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav, Mr. RV Paswan, Mr. Man mohan Singh and all the crupt Politicians ? Is Mrs Sonia Gandhi reading? I am of firm believe that my brothers and sisters from maharashtra would not give any attention to such stupid remarks of an insane politician like Raj Thakare or Samajwadi party Amarsingh. who is hell bound to do get votes a the cost of national integrity. An indian should have loyality towards India then for states. I also believe that other non-marathi people will also not pay any attention to such comments as dirty politicians like him do not represent marathi opinion in general.
IN 21ST CENTURY, SHIV SAINIK,BAJRANG DAL,VHP,NAVNIRMAN SENA IS STILL TALKING ABOUT REGIONALISM. PLEASE BE NATIONALIST AND TALK ONLY FOR INDIA AND INDIANS. BELONG FROM UP OR KERALA OR ANY OTHER STATE DOSENT MATTER. WE ARE INDIANS AND ONLY INDIANS.

i am not agree with your statement which is completely biased and does not address the very issue, about raj thackre what wrong he has done? he was completely provoked by 3rd grade goons like amar sing and abu azmi who are kicked out by UP people in last election
pls do not compare mumbai with assam because not a single bhaiya has been killed by a marathi on language issue till
it is obvious expectation that u must respect the local culture and people if you want to leave, otherwise u l b screwed like this only or worst
my question to you why marwadis,gujrathis and punjabis are never in conflict
reason is they get involved in local culture alongside their traditions
so pls stop criticising maharashtrians

If Raj Thakre is doing ugly politics, so are Amar Singh, Lalu Prasad and Jaya Baachan. All people from UP wants to come to Mumbai, Yes mumbai belongs to entire nation, but it a home of marathi people as well. You are welcomed as a guest to our home, but if they started living there for ever, it causes inconvenience for local people. Its as simple as that and if marathi person express his inconvenience, why it should be looked as ugly.
Over crowded Mumbai city has recently witnessed many natural calamities. Why can UP and Bihari politician appeal to there state people to stop migrating to Mumbai, instead of favoring this people. Amar Singh and Lalu Prasad should take it as challenge, none of them has made any comments saying, “my state people, we will developed our own state, I need skill persons to build it, UP and Bihar has last there skilled human recourse to Mumbai” To develop this states, politician should promote return journey of this people. This will not only help UP and Bihar in long term, including generations to, it will also help nations equal development and even mumbaikars and marathi people will live peaceful life, on there own land.
Instead of making it point of debate, UP and Bihari people should take it as opportunity to craft there state development path.

All the people supporting Raj Thackre and his vandalism must remember that we all are indians and indian constitution allows indian citizen to settle down in the region of their choice. Nothing is above the constitution of India.Maharshtra is a state in India and is not a autonomous state like J&K.
Mumbai is a metropolitan city which means its a mixed bag of all the regions and hence it is so diversified and is the economic capital of india.each and everyone have had their own contributions in the progress of this region so how can people get up today and say its mine, and target one/two particular regions . If we talk of crime, its not due to any regional influence but is due to educational background and economic condition of any individual.
Skill, Hardwork and Education are few of the pre-requisites for any job.Any person who is ready to work hard, can work anywhere in the world,and gets paid for his work. if things are so simple why there should be a political issues about that?to live a peaceful life educated people should think logically and reasonably. people who cannot get a job due to the lack of skills should not vent it out on poor people. When we talk about country as one nation then how much sense does it make to bragg of one particular state and make issues about other states.
i have read opinions of a few people and found them to be very immature let me explain why, they wants upiites and biharis to leave mumbai and go back to their states and focus on progress of their state. these statements show that these people can just look at smaller things and are incapable of looking at the larger picture “they want maharshtra at the expense of INDIA violating the constitution of india” when they cannot think of this country as their own what justice will they do the state point to think folks….
All the MNC/corporates, people working in these firms are again metropolitan and not maharashtrians alone. if we go by the beliefs of these people who disregard the country there should be no investment in the state as they cannot look at the global picture. they will have to start some militant outfits and start a fight for maharashtra liberation. healthy competion brings in quality, so compete and win rather then put some one down and win.
people need to look what they can do to make things better then getting carried away by currents of hatered. Raj Thackre was a in shiv sena and as he did not get the leadership of shiv-sena he is exploiting the weeker and the vulnerable section of maharashtra as he doesnt have any agenda.
So all the sleeping people get contrustively active, educate yourself, challenge your logical reasoning and win all the competitive exams and take what you deserve and dont depend on politicians like raj thackre to do something for you as he is doing it for his own good. How many needy maharashtrian students have been sponsered by mr raj thackre for education out of his pocket. Send a needy farmer from affected area and ask my thackre to empty his bank account and save their lives and see if your Mr Thackre does that? believe me he will take that money from your pocket but will do nothing from his.
Looks are decieving and so is Mr Raj Thackre….All the best to people supporting him… “Son of Soil”
